Has the forum been hacked or something?

A few days ago, I received an email saying that there was a personal
message for me on the forum.  I went to the forum, but could not get
in.  I asked for my password, but the board said it did not recognize
my email address.  I can not send an email to the administrator,
because I am currently "not a member", and my attempts to create a new
account have all failed.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on, or what I can do to get
this sorted out?

Due to a recent spam attack, the DHW forums are running in restricted
mode for the moment, which means that every registration must be
validated by an admin before access will be granted.

There has been a major cleanup of the user database. In order to renew
your registration, you should provide a valid email address issued by
your ISP. 
Hotmail accounts and alike will no longer be accepted.

It has now been a month and a half, and I still can't sign in to the
forum.  Can somebody please tell me who to contact so I can get this
sorted out?
