I have Wolfenstein 3D & it's follow up *Spear of Destiny* on 2-floppies that were Zipped a very long time ago. I was digging through some old computer stuff and thought it would be a kick to play them again.. I can't remember what version of (Dos) PkZip was used on them, but Winzip does not see the files when I try to Extract them and I've tried *All* file types.. I can see the files when I go to my Computer and look on the A: drive.. Any ideas guys?.. I'm assuming you're running WinXP. I use DosBox and DFend to play all my old DOS games. DosBox http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/ D-Fend http://members.home.nl/mabus/dfend.htm DosBox is a comman-line DOS emu. D-Fend provides a GUI to use with DosBox.
Actually Win2k... Yes I have DODSBox also.. The problem is unzipping the files.. I think the floppy drive on my old Pentium-66 that I originally Zipped them on may have been going bad, cause I found 2-more disks that were dated a few months later and they are totally unreadable.. Hello, I am new to this group. I have been playing this wonderful game for a few weeks. Is there such a thing as a site map, because I keep on getting lost, and all I can find is dead bodies everywhere. Eventually I get fed up and shut it down. One of my big problems is trying to recognise the secret doors. Pity they did not think of adding hand grenades to the armory :) Colin.
Try this site.... :) http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/walkthrough.htm On Tue, 01 Mar 2005 03:30:59 -0000, colin <electroman@...> wrote: > > > Hello, > I am new to this group. Hello, I used Jamez's adding a new weapon tutorial at this site: http://diehardwolfers.areyep.com/viewtopic.php?t=1910 and I added 3 weapons into the Wolf3d engine, I also used BrotherTank's Display Different Ammo On StatusBar Tutorial at this site: http://diehardwolfers.areyep.com/viewtopic.php?t=187 But when I compiled wl_agent.c, I got some errors when I tried to compile. If so, please tell me. Thanks. Ling Yan

I just started playing Schabbs 2000 and I'm getting my ass kicked! Are there any cheats for this game? severely wounded, TC
Hi, There's only one that I know of. The ILM cheat'll give you 100% health, 99 ammo, but only 2 keys, the gold & silver key. It is not very useful. I really don't know if there are any debug cheats for it. Sorry. I was wondering if there were any debug cheats for it. What level are you on now? I always loved levels 3-6 and 8, they all seemed very cool. I really need to get into the game some more though.
I am starting to get very interested in Wolfenstein. At 73 my reflexes are slow and big scores dont interest me particularly. My main interest (with the help of MLI) is to shoot my way around until I get tired. I have had the 10 maps of the first game printed on card, and eventually will get all 6 games colour printed and put into a bound folder. Although I have fooled around with games 2-6 a bit, I am really more interested in finding my way around the first game. I now know my way up to level 4. So I have a long way to go yet. Some time ago I managed to download a sheet which showed what all the symbols mean. e.g. a square for a secret door and so on. I have lost it. 1) Where can I find it again? 2) Is there any way I can select (say) the 8th level without have to go via 1 to 7? This is of particular interest to me. I tends to get boring have to go through all the floors to get to it. 3) Are there any "cheat" lists or details? 4) Are there any individuals or clubs in Perth. W.Australia where I could get some help? Thank you very much for helping a newbie in getting going in this fascinating game. My e-mail address is group@... Colin.
Hello Colin, The best Wolfenstein source is Mr Lowe's Wolfenstein page. It contains hundreds of downloadable Wolfenstein-type games, plus cheats, plus much , much , more. It has an original Wolf 3-D walkthrough with maps of all levels by "The Master". I think this is what you are referring to: it has all the symbols for secret pushwalls, doors, treasure, everything. You cannot legally download the original game, but it has many excellent follow-ups, like "Tex ZK" and "Batman" and "Batman: The wrath of Mr. Freeze". Brian Lowe also created some very challinging W3D games that keep the spirit of the original game. I live in a Wolfenstein world, and I love it. Here is the Mr. Lowe's address: www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~brlowe. How would you like to tell a 73 year old newbie, who is not computer literate how to jump to higher levels, without having to start at floor No 1? I think I have the shareware DOS version and I have windows XP. Hi Colin, I don't know how to jump to higher levels. Perhaps the cheat sheet will tell you how, but believe me, it's much more fun to do it yourself, as BJ, and discover the secrets. Think of yourself as B. J. Blazkowicz, and find the secrets yourself. It's really not that hard. The more you do it the better you get... you'll figure it out... I know.... Maybe it's cuz I'm used to Wolf and Spear, where I usually wound up levels with a lot more than that. My strategy for Schabbs is to save often but I'm afraid of running out of ammo.
